Curricular Literacy

Curricular Literacy is basically the understanding of content in any core classe such as English, Math, Science or History. Obviously if you don't have curricular literacy skills for these particular class then you will have much trouble and frustration trying to pass it.

Example:

Children of War --- This is a detailed paper about the atrocities some children are put through in other countries not as fortunate as ours. I feel that it demonstrates curricular literacy because I had to research and become familiar with much knowledge I hadn't previously attained. This has been occuring for a while in the world and it is a serious problem that needs to be addressed soon.
