Senior Project has taught me a lot about myself as well as the New Tech community. I feel that the entire process has helped me improve and organize my thoughts and feelings onto paper then out to the public. The changes I have made since the first Zine have been for the interests of my consumers.

Doing a survey to find out what people would like to see in my next Zine helped me the most in motivating others to submit and finding out what they would like to see more of. Without the survey I feel that a lot of people would not be interested in the ways they are. The survey also helped me finance my decision to print the second and third Zine in color. I asked the people I surveyed if they would pay for the Zine if I raise the price to 50 cents and not one person answered no.

I have chosen to make a move that probably no other senior would think of doing in their senior project. My goal at the beginning of the year was to put out three Zines by the end of senior project. Because I am dedicated to taking my time and trying to make the Zine the best it can be I have decided the final Zine will not be printed until after senior project. The final Zine is a seniors only Zine titled “Seniority Rules”

One reason I made the choice to release the seniors only Zine is that I can only take submissions from seniors and all seniors are busy with their senior project which means they have no time to help with mine. Another reason is that I actually enjoy taking my time to edit and decorate each submission; it helps me learn a little bit about every person that has made something. In the future I would hope to continue the Zine making because I have found new ways to express myself and motivate others to do so as well. The Zine has become a learning experience both inside myself and at New Technology High School .
