This portfolio is a compilation of the experiences and work I have done at New Technology High School. You will find in this portfolio, the environment and personality that New Tech has to offer, some of the things I have learned throughout my education here, and a little bit about who I am today.

All my life I've been told that I’m a rebel and that I'm different; so all my life I counted on myself to find something new to rebel with, another way I could be different. I would get my ears pierced, then I’d break curfew, and the next day want to dye my hair. Although I've never gotten "out of control", I'm still considered to be the normal hassle most teens are today.

My mother and father split up after my brother Vinnie was born; I was eighteen months old. My mother ended up in Northern California with two infants, and started living with women. Nine years later I would realize my mother wasn't just living with women, she was lesbian. All my life I have been raised in a household with two women, my brother, and some animals; this has made me who I am, but has not made me any different from anyone else with a mother and a father. I feel that the way I was raised has help me be my true self because without the constant reminder that I am an individual and that there is no one like me, I woudn't be as intelligent or talented as I am today.

Ever since I can remember I have always been fascinated by movies. How they are made? Who makes them? In front of the camera, I wondered who are these people and how can I get there? I plan to be an actress in the moving picture industry but as long as I’m involved with what goes on to the big screen I would feel that I have succeeded in achieving my goals.

Throughout my education I have always been struggling to find a school that fits my personality and personal standards. I feel at New Tech is a perfect example of my standards. New Tech is a school that teaches me all the different learning outcomes you can get from a school. They require us to talk about these learning out comes and record evidence of them. With these requirements we can always use them in our professional portfolios which is included after the personal statement that you are reading right now. These learning outcomes will be explained in a separate part of the site.
