The ability to think critically is one of the most important abilities that a good employee, or employer, can possess. Critical Thinking is the logic and method that one uses to solve any problems that arise. A major part of critical thinking is problem solving skills and the ability to interpret information given to you regardless of its form.
This is the practice paper I wrote in preperation for the district writing assesment. We were given 50 minutes to compile and write an essay that effectively communicated our viewpoint on a perticular topic of which we had no prior knowledge. I think this is a good example of Critical Thinking because it shows that I can create a workable paper in short amount of time underpressure. (Page 1, Page 2)
My second example for Critical Thinking is a satirical essay that I wrote on the problem of immigration/illegal immigration for my Political Science Class. We were assigned to come up with a solution for whatever problem we felt our nation is currently facing. My essay examines the cost of immigration/illegal immigration to tax payers through social programs and incarceration costs. I also examine possible solutions that I came up with, in a satirical fashion of course.
