Skills and Analysis 
These are the four skills in which I have grown so much. Each skill will be described how I see it and given evidence. This separate skill analysis section will in detail describe why I choose these to be my particular favorite.
New technology high school is all about getting you ready for a job, getting you ready for college. Having to take these college classes I feel I am now prepared for it. I feel that I could go into a job and feel comfortable working in groups. NTH is also really open about letting you express yourself through your project which is what I believe to be one of the best career preparations. Though you are doing your job you still need to be yourself no matter where you are.
When I grow up I have an interest in teaching. I really love math, it is my favorite subject hands down. I have always gotten the concept of math really easily and I find different patterns that are sometimes hard to see. My senior year here at high school I am a tutor for 2 classes of math. Junior year in high school I was in scientific studies, this really broadened my job range. I learned about how many different things need math. Not saying I only have to be a teacher but I can be an engineer or many other jobs that I learned about.
I am a shy person. When we are put into groups I don't have to worry about trying to find somebody to group up with. When I first started here at new tech and they said pick your own group I just waited until the teacher said who doesn't have a group and then put me with one. Now I am looking for specific people that I know are hard working and that really can counteract my weak points. A project from political studies my senior year was called up front, we had to pick our own groups. I was looking around the room immediately I saw Jovan; I thought to myself I hope I can be in a group with him. As soon as the teacher said ok find your groups Jovan said “ Tracy ” so I was happy to be in a group with such a hard worker. However, we had to find another person. A few people asked to be in our group and we just kind of said no I'm sorry we have somebody else, though we didn't. We were looking for another hard worker talking about the people that we would like in our group. So I really enjoy working with people that want the same things I want.
This really ties in with collaboration. (Please read the collaboration description). I told that story because I know how important it is to have a hard working group. If you are hard working and everybody else in your group is, life is simple. You all have curtsy to tell group members something like I'm running late I need some more time, your group can agree or disagree. My whole upbringing was about how to be a kind nice person. I am that kind, well rounded, nice person and I am very proud to be that person. I believe that a lot of my teachers get to see that in me which makes me feel good about myself.
