Senior portfolio is one of the graduation requirements at New Technology High school. It is used as a tool to show parents, teachers, and prospective employers our experience and knowledge.

Personal Statement
My high school career has been somewhat spontaneous. I started off at Vallejo High, and then at the last minute before junior year I decided to go to New Tech High. At Vallejo High I had been in been in band for freshmen year, and on another spontaneous decision in tenth grade I decided to join the swim team. Academically I did okay freshmen year, and not so good sophomore year. I hoped that New Tech would help me do well in school, and I was excited for a new experience, as I always am. Unfortunately, junior year I didn't do so great academically, but I learned a lot about myself.
Everyone learns a little differently, and it took me a little longer than most to figure out that school is important. Before, when I got bad grades and didn't want to go to school, I didn't even care. I didn't have an idea of what my future would look like, and wasn't really worried about. I was living for the moment, and now I've learned to live for the future- to plan ahead, have goals, and make something of myself.
So far I've made my last year in high school very successful. Some people take fewer classes and take it easy senior year, but not me. I've kind of done everything a little backwards. All this year I've been getting B's or higher and have taken on a heavy course load which has included college classes, adult school, and an Assistant Nurse ROP class on top of my regular high school classes, which you can read about under the Internship tab.
As for the future, I plan to continue education in nursing, and eventually become a Registered Nurse. Next year I will be going to Solano Community College, and the year after that I plan on transferring to San Francisco State . I'm really excited for the future!
