Personal Statement

As a graduating senior of 2007, I look back on my years of high school. I don't remember all the bad decisions that I have made, but rather the few good, life changing decisions that I made. Before coming to New Tech High I was home schooled, I was getting good grades, learning a lot, and had plenty of free time, but I was bored. I wanted a change, I wanted to be able to see my friends, get out of my house, and do something a little different.

I found out about New Tech during my sophomore year in high school. After taking a tour I was very excited about coming. Everything that New Tech stands for really fit with what I was looking for. My decision to come to New Tech has been one of the best decisions of my entire life.

I have had a great time at New Tech, it was just the change I was looking for. New Tech has challenged me in new ways. At home I never had much experience working with others or speaking in front of people. The collaboration and oral communication skills that I have acquired while attending New Tech High will be a couple of the most important skills that I will use as an adult. New Tech High has changed my life for the better, and I am pleased that I was given the opportunity to attend.
