Senior Project

Senior Project is a year long project to encourage personal growth. When we first started senior project I decided that mine would be to fix up an old car that my family had rusting away in the garage. After a couple months into the project I realized that I had neither the time nor the money required to fix this rotting hunk of metal. This is when I decided that it was more beneficial to spend my time getting good grades in my classes rather than spend it all working on a project that I had a good chance of failing. I chose to opt-out of my senior project. This allowed me to bring up my grades in all of my classes and stop stressing out about a project that could decide whether I graduated or not. Now that senior project is over I have a B in my Political Studies class; it would have been a C if I had not spent time working on my class work and instead spent it on my senior project. I am happy with my decision to opt-out, I think that it gave me more time to spend with my family and learn things that I was actually interested in.
