My personal statement gives a little insight about me in every way. It reflects what I've accomplishmed and my future aspirations. It shows you where I'm from and what it took for me to get there . Concluding, it also shows my hobbies and what I enjoy doing in my spare time.

Personal Statement:

I made this portfolio to give you a brief overview of who I am, and what kind of traits I portray in and outside curricular activities. This can be used as a great tool because you can know a little bit more insight of who I am. In this brief statement it shows a little of my past, present, and my future. This reflects my past vivacity and it shows my future growth. I’m originally from Alabama and I grew up there for four years. I later moved to Vallejo California where I attended Patterson Elementary School for the sum of five years. I transferred to MLK in Berkeley California. I was promoted from there to Berkeley High School the most admired high schools in the nation with a student body of 3000. I completed my freshmen and sophomore year there and decided to transfer to New Technology High. I originally wanted to transfer here because my friends were going here. However my parent’s voice says “Birds of a feather flock together…” but then I realized I’m an individual and I must control my own destiny. I looked at what New Tech had to offer and I must say I was really impressed. So I turned in an application and I was accepted. I was really happy when I was accepted because I realized New Tech was going to be a new culture and experience.

While attending New Tech High they teach the eight learning outcomes which are essential to my growth and development in my future career. 1. Technology Literacy 2. Citizenship and Ethics 3. Critical Thinking 4. Career Preparation 5. Collaboration 6. Written Communication 7. Oral Communication 8. Curricular Literacy Though I currently don’t have all these traits by the time I graduate in June of 2007 I will have accomplished all of these.

In my future career I plan on being getting a BSN or major in criminal justice. Though both are very different Im intrested in both.To make this dream a reality I made one of the first steps by transferring to New Tech. I was able to take college classes that apply to my career so when I graduate from high school I will have been through over half the journey because life is road and I want to keep going.
