Critical thinking skills are most inherent in the writing and execution of many assignments or projects. Developing critical thinking skills throughout the high school career is an essential aspect of college and real world preparation.
I’m choosing this essay as my first piece of critical thinking evidence because I feel it’s an adequate example when I had to reflect back on my high school career and create a narrative piece of work. I feel that I choose a good topic for this essay because it displays my character and a lot of my past. I had to think of a lot of the decisions I made whether they were for better or worse and then analyze them. In this essay, I omit that everyone makes mistakes but in the long run the only person it really has a great impact on is you.
The second piece I choose was a journal entry which required much critical thinking. In Political Studies, we watched a special report with John Stossel’s. It was a biased segment called, “Is America #1?” It was a look into the United States economy compared to other countries such as, China, India and Africa. In the journal I responded to seven questions pertaining to the segment and received full credit for the response.
