I have always been a Good Samaritan. However, I have come across things at my experience at New Tech that challenge my ideas of what it means to truly have good citizenship and ethics. I am constantly being challenged to create new ideas of what is good. I think I’m finally starting to get a good idea of what is good and what is bad.
It is only though experience that we can establish the difference between what reflects good ethics, and what reflects bad ethics. It is only in an environment of project based learning that we can truly gain this experience in an optimal fashion, while still maintaining a positive outlook and getting a good education at the same time. Working together with my peers has put me in a good position to make judgment calls on ethics in the professional work environment, and in life.
For my example, I have the stances on issues that my political party took in the Campaign Trail project. We were called “the party party”, and we had to use our ethics to form a stance on different political issues. This was a project that challenged my views on citizenship and ethics. That can be found here.
