Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Chris Hernandez. I am currently attending New Technology High School. I plan to attend all for years. My dreams and goals are to enroll in college and get an Undergraduate degree in Enology (Wine Making), and a Doctorate in Viticulture/Enology. I know it will take alot of work, but am prepared to handle it.
I Want to primarily go to UC Davis, or another renouned Wine making school. I want to go to UCD because their wine making, and viticulture programs is among one of the best in the country. My dreams and aspirations of becoming a wine maker started when I was little, and it started to become more, and more feasable with the enrollment of my brother for USC. He has inspired me to go above and beyond the normal expectations, and to not let anybody tell me I cant do anything.
My hobbies include Music, and culture. I listen to alot of hip-hop, because it so diverse. I also listen to many other genres of music, besides country, blue-grass, etc...Other hobbies of Mine are sports; I have played on a football team, Basketball, Mixed Martial Arts, and even Swimming, which eventually lead me to reaching a personal goal; becoming a registered life guard.
The Three years that I have been here so far, have taught me far more than any traditional highschool would have. It taught me how to merit the trust, and respect of my peers, and others within my community. New Tech has been one of most fostering environments I have ever been associated with. Before I graduate, I plan to make a change in the school, for which I will be remember for generations. I want future New Tech students to realize how much New Tech has helped me, and how much of an advantageous position it gave me.
