I have great expectations for myself in my future. I want to do thing that my family never had a chance to even try. Yes, I had a hard time through the years but I feel that those pressures of life have made me the young women that I have become today. My name is Nataly Cruz, if you already didn’t know. I am currently a junior at New Technology High School where I have attended all three years of my high school experience. I never thought that I would be capable of doing the things that I am doing at Tech. I never thought that by going to New Tech many doors would open and the future I desire for myself possible.
 In the future or most likely when I graduate from high school I want to go to attend the University of Connecticut. What I hope to accomplish there at UConn is a law degree, preferably a bachelor’s degree along with a master’s degree. I also want to attend the University because I want to play basket ball for them as they are my favorite college basketball team. I would like to play on the team for as long as I am a student attending there. I’m excited to be finished with high school even though I am going to miss some parts of the whole experience. Even though my high school experience is about to end, I am looking forward to my college experience beginning. I am determined to finish high school and even more to start learning what I can for my desired life around law and get that moving along and not just sitting in the distance waiting for it to come to me. I have plans for my future and I stand next to them and waiting for them to become reality. I’m not the kind of person who waits for things to happen to me; I contribute and make them happen in the first place. I’m also the kind of person who sees her goal and won’t stop until I get my dream.
After college I would like to start my career as a lawyer, maybe even become a District Attorney. I feel that it will be hard to become a DA, but at the same time I feel that it is not going to be because I have overcome many obstacles throughout my life. As I have said before, once I have set my mind into something I do not stop until I get. I will become a DA and I will accomplish all of my goals in life.
