tPersonal Statement

My academic progression, achievements, and successes have made me who I am today along with my home life and experiences outside of school and the home. The portfolio that follows displays these achievements, successes and shows my progression from an ordinary high school student to a professional who has a serious outlook and the ambition to overcome challenges laid before him.

I grew up in Vallejo with my mother, father and my cat. I was a pretty sheltered child in a sense the that I had no idea what the real world was like then I went to middle school, I was exposed to the hip hop scene and became fascinated, not just with rap but the beats of the music and the creativity needed to be original in such a competitive environment where everyone is hungry for the spot light. This inspired me to start my own recording studio.

In order to have the ability to fully accomplish this goal I figured that I need to know music inside and out. My high school life has been filled with the studying of instruments such as the piano and guitar. I plan in studying the violin, and singing soon.

My life at New Technology High School has helped me achieve eight learning outcomes, from technology literacy to oral communication. My classes in Digital Media, Scientific Studies, and American Studies have assisted me in achieving these learning outcomes. The portfolio that follows is a glimpse in to my life, personality, goals, and achievements. Though this portfolio does not cover everything, your get a good idea of what sort of person I am and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
