Course Description:
Welcome to Scientific Studies! You are about to embark on an exciting course that is the equivalent of a physics course and an algebra II course all wrapped up in one. Our goal is to foster students' natural curiosity about the world by having them take part in real world applications of math and physics . The universal laws of Physics will be used to teach students a new way to think about the world we live in. Students often find this challenging because it requires them to reconsider their life experience intuitions. As a result the students will learn about the physical world as well as their own cognitive processes. Embedding math in the context of physics is much closer to how math was initially developed, and how it is practiced outside of high school. This course will allow you to build mathematical models for the physical world and answer the age-old question, “When are we ever going to use this stuff?”
