PERSONAL STATEMENT

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Diyosa Carter and this June I will be graduating form the college preparatory program at New Technology High School (NTHS). This portfolio includes my resume and letters of recommendation. It also includes evidence for the eight learning outcomes of NTHS. On this web page you can also find my complete senior project.

The career path that I foresee in my future involves Computer Science. This fall I will be attending California State University - Sacramento to major in Computer Science. The reason that I have chosen this career path is because computers have been an interest of mine for years. It all began in the class COMS 110 at Napa Valley Community College. In this class I learned the basic functions of Microsoft Works. Secondly I took up schooling at New Technology High School where I produced new skills and built on the ones that I already had. I also put these skills to use in an internship at A. Aaron and Associates as a paralegal assistant.

In this portfolio you can find my resume with all pertinent job information. If references are necessary please email me with a request. You can also find the eight NTHS Learning Outcomes with evidence of how I have obtained these outcomes. The evidence ranges from essays to certificates to projects. Also included in this portfolio is my complete senior project, "Assembling a Computer". Lastly you will find two letters of recommendation, one from an educational level and the other from a professional level. Hopefully these letters will give you and idea of my impact on others and the way that they see me.

I hope that you enjoy my portfolio. I have put a lot of effort into preparing it for you and it reflects who I am and what I have accomplished.
