SENIOR PROJECT

The Senior Project is a project completed almost completely outside of school. In this project we as students choose a subject that interests us and actually do a hands on project to learn the skills involved with it. After the completion of our project we present our Senior Project Portfolio along with a fifteen minute presentation to a panel of judges.

I chose to build my own computer. Click on any section below to learn more about my research, the process, or my reflection.

Letter to the Judges: This letter is the first impression that the judges received of me. It clearly states the reason for writing it and a conclusion. Within the letter it briefly explains the project, explains the process, describes my research, and briefly evaluates my experience. The letter is a summary of all the components of the Senior Project Portfolio.

Letter of Intent
: The letter of intent describes my project and the reason that I selected this as my project. It also describes my objectives and how I planned to accomplish them. It also introduces my mentor and his experience in the field of computers.

Project Research Paper
: This is a formal research paper written in third person, complete with in-text notation and a bibliography. I chose to write on the history of computers. I have also used this as an example of written communication.

Project Process Paper: This paper describes the steps that were required to complete this project. It discusses the various options I considered in the selection and design process. It also includes the many unexpected problems and surprises that I encountered.

Project Reflection Paper:
This paper describes what I have learned, what I would do differently, and my satisfaction with the results of the project.

Personal Reflection Paper
: The personal reflection is a brief essay on what I have learned throughout high school and the support that I have received from my family and friends.
