The following writing sample is a research paper from my senior project.  I worked on this for most of the year.  I feel that it represents my writing style and shows off the skills that I have attained at New Technology High School.   The senior project was created to give students a chance to explore new ideas and learn about something that interest them.  I researched the wine industry.  I chose the wine industry because I am interested in a career in the near future after I have completed college.

The learning outcomes that are shown in this writing sample are written communication, critical thinking, and career preparation.  My written communications is shown well in this peice because of the length and I feel that my thought process brought the paper together as a whole, making it read smoothly.  Critical thinking is also shown becasue of the tremendous amount of information that went into this peice.  I research many aspects of the wine industry and had to organize information in a way that it would make sense.  Lastly, this peice of writing helped prepare me for a future career in the business.  One, I know more about the history of the industry and have a better understanding of how the business works.

Although this is only a part of the research paper I feel that it is the most important part.  Not only is it the core of my senior project but it is a peice that people can learn from.  This writing sample is a great tool for others use for educational purposes.  Please enjoy.
