Critical thinking displays my good thinking and problem solving skills that will help me contribute to solutions on the job. This is proof of my ability to think analytically and creatively, use logical reasoning, and interpret information. It also displays my ability to recognize a problem and identify the relevant facts, identify and gather information needed to solve a problem, and evaluate and select the information to consider solutions to the problem.

Religious Persecution Project: Movie

For my final project in American Studies, I created a project about religious persecution in the United States. I feel like I showed critical thinking because I had to evaluate many examples of persecution in the US, find images that portray the events, and add music which envoked emotion about the topic. I was extremely pleased with my final result, because my personal background deals with religious persecution.

Nature of Man: Essay

In Political Studies, we studied many philosophers' beliefs about the nature of man. I wrote an essay about Jean Jacques Rousseau, and how he would feel about The Federalist Papers, written by some of our founding fathers. I demonstrated critical thinking because I had to explore the beliefs of Rousseau and write about how he would react to an event in American history by becoming him in a sense.
