| Oral communication involves anticipating the previous knowledge of my audience and providing the information that they need, speaking clearly to convey my ideas to others and introducing them in a logical order.
Great Awakening Project: Rubric In Political Studies, we were assigned a group project to make a news broadcast on video. My role in the video was to be a on site news reporter. I gave a report about riots, and also interviewed a woman about losing her job. I feel I showed excellent oral communication for this project. My rubric shows that I scored highly on oral presentation, and showed great qualities such as good eye contact, considering the audience, and being excited and enthusiastic. San Diego Conference: Certificate of Appreciation Over the summer, I spoke at a Project-based Learning Conference in San Diego with two other classmates and a teacher. We presented our 1950's project on Consumerism to a large group. I overcame many fears, one being talking to large groups of people. I also had to sit on a panel and answer questions people had about myself and project-based learning. |
