To Whom It May Concern:

Life is a time to learn and grow through triumphs, failures, relationships, and the lessons we learn everyday. As I reflect on my own life, I feel gratitude towards every experience I have faced. These experiences have shaped the aspects of my life, and each one has helped me to grow more mature and understand the world around me. As I approach graduation from New Technology High School, I understand that in order to be successful in life, I must learn from the occurrences in my life, and these lessons have helped me these past two years to be who I really am. Hopefully this portfolio demonstrates who I am, though the amount of work I am able to show is limited, and gives a sense of the growth I have made at New Technology High School.

Growth is an important part of life, and making goals for the future has helped me structure my life as I mature into an adult. My future goal is to be a software engineer in the videogame industry. Visual entertainment fascinates me and I have developed a major interest in how videogames work and run. My decision to attend NTHS was simple because I wanted an opportunity and experience with computers that I could use throughout my whole life. Attending NTHS has helped me in various ways to grow academically and socially, and also to choose the path I want to take for the rest of my life. I have maintained a 4.22 GPA and am currently ranked first in my class.

I have also been involved in many activities at NTHS in hopes to gain experience in working with other people, which is a valuable skill to have. I am the President of Model United Nations. I am also a member of ASB Congress, chosen to represent the Senior class in the decision making about important issues at New Technology High School. Another extracurricular activity I am a part of is the Boy Scouts of America. I have been working diligently toward obtaining the rank of Eagle, and will hopefully receive that rank before I graduate. All these activities have helped me develop valuable skills I can use in the future. I have grown socially through leadership opportunities. Working in groups provides me with the experience I need to be successful in the videogame industry because groups work together to create ideas and execute those ideas to create a successful game. Collaboration is very important, and I am involved in many activities that help me to work well with others.

Along with activities outside of school, projects inside of school prepare me for life beyond high school. This digital portfolio contains samples of my work that demonstrates certain skills I have acquired over my two years at New Technology High School. Although I cannot display all my work I have produced, hopefully what I do show clearly depicts the growth I have made at NTHS. I truly feel I have grown stronger, and I am ready to enter the real world and pursue my goals.

Sincerely,

Adam Blatter
