My first writing sample discusses the nature of man.

This writing was exceedingly difficult. This is because Voltaire is a man who is difficult to

understand in a short period of time. Some told me that the man thought humans were inherently

evil while others told me that he thought they were inherently good because he was against organize

religion because this form of religion was corrupting people. It took much critical thinking to find

where this man's view derived from. Also my development in written communication is shown in

this writing with personal views on man's inherent nature.

My second writing sample addresses today's economic troubles with solutions of old.

In this writing sample you will find that the solution is the solution I have for all problems. The

learning outcomes for this writing are not unlike the learning outcomes for the last writing sample.

Both written communication and critical thinking are evident in this sample. Written communication

is seen in how I explain that God is the answer. Critical thinking is shown in my approach to the

solution.
