Collaboration
Today’s classrooms and workplaces require that you be able to work as part of a team. You need to be able to work cooperatively with people of different ages and cultural backgrounds. When working with others it is important to understand how to resolve conflicts, negotiate, share responsibilities, accept supervision and assume leadership roles.
In Scientific Studies, our first project was modeled around
state curriculum standards. The project involved a lot of project management.
In a group of 5 we had to study 4 chapters of the physics book, learn the
content, and teach the class. I was the group leader. I developed a timeline
for students to follow and printed on the back was the California State Standard
for Science and Math. This handnout let the students know where everyone else
was in the project and a quick reference to the standards.

/ Word Document
Motion and Forces Demonstraton - PowerPoint
After every project, students are required to enter a Collaboration
Score into a collaboration database. After completing as many project as we
do here, you really get a sense of who to work with and who not to. The link
below will show my collaboration scores. As you can see I've earned the highest
scores possible on all projects from all group members, except from one bitter
person.
