Objective:

To work in and earn valuable experience in the field of computers with a heavy emphasis on networking and technologies, and have fun while doing so.

Experience & Skills:

Network and Internet related:

  • Summer 1999, Dey Labs, Napa, CA
  • Assisted in the upgrade of 250 computers to Windows NT 4.0
  • Utilized GHOST 5.1

  • Documented every upgrade and compiled database

  • Assisted in the help desk

  • Assessed and upgraded Offices of David Johanson Law Firm to Y2K compliancy.
  • Currently I am an assistant to the Network Administrator of Vintage High School, Napa, California, and I’m also an Assistant Webmaster at Vintage High School.
  • Used GHOST 5.1 Multicast to create and install disk images for 23 NT Workstation based PC lab rollout at Vintage High School.
  • Experienced in many aspects of the Internet, including: creating web pages, setting up Windows NT servers, network design and troubleshooting network related issues.

  • Have experience in setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting an FDDI fiber optic network backbone utilizing Cisco routers and switches.

  • Proficient in using/managing the following: Windows NT Server and Workstation 4.0, IIS 4.0 and sub-components (Proxy, DHCP, HTTP & FTP server etc.), Exchange Server 5.5, Frontpage98, and various other network and Internet related software and hardware.
 

General Computer Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge necessary for building computers from scratch, installing operating systems and configuring for use on a network.

  • Proficient in using standard desktop publishing tools such as the Microsoft Office 2000 Premium software suite.

  • Currently further exploring Softimage v3.7, Infini-D 4.5, 3D Studio MAX R3 - all high-end, professionally used 3D computer graphics and animation applications.

  • I use several operating systems, such as: Windows 9x, NT, RedHat Linux 6.1, MacOS 9, and BeOS 4.5.

  • Programmed microprocessors in pBASIC Stamp 2 for robotics projects.

  • Currently attending New Technology High School, Napa, Ca., where I’m enrolled in the Cisco Academy

Interests
and
Activities:

  • I am currently involved in a robotics project at school where I program microprocessors to control mechanical devices, using a programming language called pBASIC. I’m also heavily involved in the design team in which we utilize AutoCAD 2000 and Mechanical Desktop from Autodesk. I’m also on the projects web team. http://www.nrc.nvusd.k12.ca.us
