Personal Statement

To Whom It May Concern My name is Amy White I am currently a senior in high school attending New Technology High School In Napa California. My life is rapidly changing before my eyes. As far off as my graduation once seemed I know that it is now approaching more and more rapid. I have only just begun to think of my future and what I will choose to do with my life. This letter as you may or may not know is attached to my graduation portfolio, which includes work samples, my resume, and letters of recommendation. I hope you enjoy reviewing over my work that is included in my portfolio. I have not yet chosen the path that will complete my future. I am looking into several different and eclectic fields. I am interested and I believe I show promise with my art, if I choose to follow a career plan in art it would be directed toward becoming a performance artist. I am currently a slam poet, and I am competing in poetry slams all over the west coast. I even competed in the national poetry slam. I am currently writing material for a stand up comedy act, as well as working together to formulate a possibly one woman show compiling my poetry, art and stand up comedy. I am also interested in the digital visual arts I think that it would suit my fancy as to being an animator or even a web designer. I have experience with art, for the past eleven years I have been in 4-H, which is where I am a Teen Leader, I teach art to children in my 4-H club. On my own time I paint and create art as a hobby. I am looking forward to continuing my career as an artist, and maybe even achieve my goal one day to become a stand up comedian. In my portfolio there will be included work that I have done and pieces that will show my job and future aspirations in life. I am learning new skills here at my new high school and I will continue to achieve further greatness in life. By learning and experiencing many new things I will broaden my horizons and perhaps find the path that I will choose to take. Until I find the moment that inspires me I will continue the route I am taking that involves my family and friends who will help my along my way. Thank you very much for your time.
