Internships
Internships and work-based learning are a vital part of the growth and success of New Tech High students. All New Tech High students complete a 60-hour field-based internship.
We are thankful and grateful for the many Napa and North Bay businesses and organizations that have hosted New Tech High students. If interested in hosting a student as an intern, please contact Internship Coordinator Anne Vallerga at avallerga@nvusd.org or NVUSD Work-based Learning Coordinator, Amber Cleveland at amber_cleveland@nvusd.org.
Most New Tech High students complete their internship during the Summer between Junior and Senior year or during the Fall or Spring of Senior year. However, exploration into career interest begins during Freshman year. It is important that students do not wait to begin the internship process as securing a mentor and internship site can be a time-consuming process.
